由于其質(zhì)地較軟易碎，故可選用一些比較簡(jiǎn)單的設(shè)備進(jìn)行破碎，如垂式碎石機(jī)顎式碎石機(jī)等。
由于硅石玻璃石花崗巖等巖石的密度和硬度比較大，一般采用反擊式碎石機(jī)來(lái)破碎，更多使用機(jī)器針對(duì)難以破碎大型巖石研發(fā)的反擊破。因此，在選礦生產(chǎn)線和水泥生產(chǎn)線等常見(jiàn)的工業(yè)生產(chǎn)中都常看到。隨著經(jīng)濟(jì)和技術(shù)的發(fā)展，這一輔助設(shè)備也隨著需要而不斷得到技術(shù)或參數(shù)改進(jìn)，相對(duì)于老式的設(shè)計(jì)，新型的提升機(jī)更適應(yīng)現(xiàn)實(shí)的需要。然而高嶺土中普遍含有鐵鈦礦物和有機(jī)質(zhì)等染色雜質(zhì)，且影響其燒結(jié)白度及其它性能，因而這樣將會(huì)大大降低高嶺土的質(zhì)量，并限制了高嶺土的應(yīng)用范圍。
